I’ve had lower back pain for many years and was referred to the pain management clinic at Croydon university hospital. I had telephone conversations with Dr Nejad first as it was in COVID-19 2020. He recommended facet joint injections and bursa injection which gave a little pain relief. Dr Nejad was informative and asked me lots of questions, also kindly spoken which made me feel comfortable and reassured. I’ve since then had follow up telephone call with Dr Nejad in 2021. My lower back nerve pain affecting everyday. Dr Nejad recommended I try Lumber Facet Denervation. I’ve just had the procedure on 1st December 2021. I also was given bursa injection. Dr Nejad spoke with me before the procedure that day explaining everything clearly to me again reassuring me as I was anxious. I would also like to say how everyone I met from entering the hospital reception, preparing for the procedure, the theatre nurses and doctors and in recovery were all caring helpful and polite. I would like to thank Dr Nejad and all the staff at Croydon university hospital.

I found that he listened to me and prescribed the best medication for my condition. He also showed empathy when i was desperate for help and put a plan together to help alleviate my pain but was clear about what my expectations should be. Would recommend him to anyone who needs pain management help.

I was referred to Dr Nejad just for an injection and it turned out that he was very helpful and went above and beyond my expectations. He listened to me and read all the notes from the referring Dr, scan results, etc. He examined me himself and explained the situation in details which actually gave me a better understanding of the real issue and answered all my questions. He was able to give me some medication that provided relief as opposed to what the other doctors had prescribed and didn’t work. Thereafter, he also did the injections and the main one had to be done in theatre. He managed to fit me in on the list sooner as he understood how much pain I was in. In theatre, both the Dr and the team were very compassionate and competent. I am pain free so far. Dr Nejad explained everything very well beforehand inc the risks etc. It’s easy to communicate with him and get hold of him too. I would highly recommend Dr Nejad!

Not rushed into a decision, explained what the procedure involved and expected results. Follow up care has been great, regular calls to check on my progress. Highly recommended.

Dr Nejad is lovely. He asks questions and listens to the answers. He explains fully the procedures and what the outcome may or may not be. He follows up after the procedure. Is easy to have a conversation with over the telephone. Makes you feel he genuinely wants to help you
